Banner Drop Protests Immigrant Detentions

Just as Homeland Security director Tom Ridge began his address to the US Conference of Mayors on Monday morning, members of the Student Labor Action Coalition dropped banners over University Avenue above rush hour traffic. Their signs read, "1,200 detained - guilty of what?" and "War on Terror = War on Immigrants".
