Over a dozen UW-Madison students and staff delivered a petition protesting the potential tuition hikes, budget cuts, and financial aid cuts, as well as the lack of benefits given to faculty and staff.
Action at the Capitol to protest Doyle's budget cuts
Over a dozen UW-Madison students and staff delivered a petition protesting the potential tuition hikes, budget cuts, and financial aid cuts, as well as the lack of benefits given to faculty and staff. 2500 out of 5000 total signatures collected from students and concerned taxpayers around the state were unrolled from Governor Doyle's office (photo). The local CBS affiliate filmed the action and interviewed Josh Healey. Reporters from the Daily Cardinal, AP and other newspapers covered the event as well.
