Yahoo Groups Instructions

1. Go to the Yahoo Groups main page, http://groups.yahoo.com/
2. On the Yahoo Groups main page, in little letters near the top right it says "sign in"
   click on that to go to the sign in page.
3. On the sign in page,
   enter your Yahoo ID and password.
   If you don't have those, click on the "New to Yahoo!? Sign up now to enjoy Yahoo! Groups" link.
   If you are on the uw-slac Yahoo mailing list, you are already a member and need to make up and ID and password.
   If you go to the sign up page and make up your ID and password,
   scroll down and uncheck the box that says "Activate Yahoo! Mail:" (make sure the box is not checked)
   and a bit further down the page where it asks your birthday and security question, type the email address where you have been getting uw-slac yahoo messages in the box marked "Alternate Email:"
4. Once you sign in, you'll get to a groups main page, which lists all the groups you are in, near the top left of the page, in a box labeled "my groups," click on "uw-slac".
5. Then you will get to the uw-slac group main page.
   There are links on the left side to photos, list of members, etc, and in the center of the page are the most recent emails, and links to other months and years' email and a search button at the bottom.
6. To change settings,
   use the "edit my membership" and "account info" links in little letters near the top right of the page.
   In "edit my membership," you can choose to have all the group list emails sent to your email address, or to not have them sent and just look at them on the group web page.
7. When you are done looking at email, pictures, whatever, click on the "sign out" link near the top right of the page.
